Voters have the power of the pen, the bully horn of blogs, stay in touch smart phones and old trusty land lines. Voters can put up one big howl which Congress will listen to. The 2012 elections will be a time of choice. Choose a President with a known track record for abuse of Executive powers and misleading Congress or choose the best Republican candidate.

An example of President Obama’s abuse of Executive powers: While Congress was in session and without advise or consent of Congress, Obama appointed Richard Conray as head of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau CFPB). Elizabeth Warren now running for Senate was the presumed to-be head of the Consumer Bureau but could not get Congressional approval. The Consumer Bureau’s budget comes entirely from another entity and Congress has no yea or nay say.

An example of President Obama follows policies that most members of Congress oppose: The KeyStone XL Pipeline had and has bipartisan support. Plans for the Pipeline were examined for three years. Citing not enough time given, Obama refused to sign.

Does President Obama mislead Congress? President Obama’s Attorney General of the United States has mislead Congress concerning what he knew about gun running to Mexico which resulted in the death of one border patrol agent and countless guns used wrongfully. Eric Holder has testified 5-6 times and still has not turned over documents showing what he knew and when. Below, read the Ettinger Report

“The November, 2012 election to all 435 House seats and 33 Senate seats will determine the capability of the elected, or reelected, President to operate in a system which features the strongest legislature in the world, equal in power to the President, the most authentic representative of the American constituent and a systematic supporter of the Jewish State.

“At this stage, the House Republican majority of 242:192 (one vacancy) seems to be secure.

However, the Senate Democratic majority of 53:47 is increasingly vulnerable with the retirement of 6 Democrats, compared with 2 Republicans; the 23 Democratic contested Senate seats, compared with only 10 Republican seats; and the high vulnerability of 8 Democratic, compared with 2 Republican, Senate seats. In fact, the retirement of Centrist “Blue Dog” Democrats, in both chambers, could reflect their own polling, thus spelling a potential trouble for President Obama’s reelection.

The November 2012 election will determine the House and Senate majorities in Congress, which is co-equal to the White House in shaping domestic, foreign and national security affairs.

It was Congress which terminated the US military involvement in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos (the “Eagleton Amendment”), Angola (the “Clark Amendment”) and Nicaragua (the “Boland Amendment”); forced the USSR/Russia to open its gates to emigration (the “Jackson-Vanick Amendment”); cut foreign aid to Turkey and Chile; restructured the US intelligence community; caused the cancellation of the AWACs sale to Iran and trimmed the sale of Hawk and Sidewinder missiles to Jordan and Saudi Arabia; played a lead role in toppling the White Regime in South Africa; authorized the 1991 and the 2003 wars against Iraq; determined the date of the Somalia evacuation; refrained from ratifying the 1999 Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty; extended emergency assistance to Israel in the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf War, in defiance of President Bush and Secretary of State Baker; etc.

US legislators prefer to yield the international arena to the President, and be preoccupied with district, state and national issues, which are critical to their constituents and to their reelection. However, Congress reveals its powerful co-determining muscle in the international arena whenever urged by constituents and when Presidents abuse the Executive power, mislead Congress or follow policies which are opposed by most legislators.

The Congressional clout has grown dramatically since the Vietnam War, Watergate, Iran Gate and globalization. These milestones have enhanced the involvement of most legislators in international issues, have upgraded the oversight capabilities of Congress, have dramatically elevated the quality and quantity of Capitol Hill staffers, and have restrained the presidency.

Congress derives much of its power from the decentralized federal system, the centrality of the constituent, the effective separation of (equal) powers, the total independence of the Legislature, and the elaborate system of checks and balances, which are designed to prevent the tyranny of the Executive and maintain a limited government. Congress – which possesses the “power of the purse,” the jurisdiction of oversight, advice and consent and the “congressional veto” – has the authority to change, suspend, reverse, direct and initiate policies, prevent senior presidential appointments, reject treaties and add and eliminate government departments and agencies.

In contrast to prime ministers and presidents in the parliamentary systems, US presidents are not omnipotent Executives, but one of three equal branches of government. US presidents are very powerful and -unlike the diversified views of the Legislature – they is are a one man Executive. But, the Presidents are not super-legislators, do not determine the legislative agenda, do not crown congressional leaders and committee chairmen and do not set the list of congressional candidates. US Presidents execute policies which are legislated by Congress, whose loyalty to the constituent, the constitution and the legislative process supersedes loyalty to the President and to the political party.

While the President is the Commander-in-Chief, article 1 of the US constitution (reinforced by the 1973 War Powers Act) stipulates that Congress shall have the power to declare War. Congress has the power to initiate, authorize and terminate, while the President executes.

In 1992, I was told by then Majority Leader, George Mitchell: “Didn’t you brief our distinguished Israeli guest that the US is not a monarchy and that Congress is co-equal to the Administration?!” Hopefully, future Israeli leaders will realize that next to a powerful US President, there is an equally-powerful Congress – the most genuine representative of the American People and a bastion of support for enhanced US-Israel cooperation.

Everything Obama can do we as voters can do better.

And do so with more honesty, courage and consistency than Obama has shown as President.

Obama has the bully pulpit. And he already is spending Obama-Care billions:

“The Obama administration will announce soon as much as $1 billion in funding to hire, train and deploy health-care workers, part of the White House’s broader “We Can’t Wait” agenda to bolster the economy after President Obama’s jobs bill stalled in Congress.”

Voters likewise can take up the bully pulpit. And, very importantly, join together with other like minded souls.

How voters can use their bully pulpit: First of all, start a blog and join other blogs who oppose Obama-Care. Use either WordPress.com or WordPress.org.And blog religiously — that means regularly.

Make the blog’s title clear that you oppose Obama-Care: No More Obama & repeal Obama-Care is the message. There are political Web Rings which you can join.

Several years ago, the conservative talk show host Rush Linbaugh started a campaign to slow down the crowning of McCain as the Republican candidate. That strategy is still valid for 2012.

As long as there is more than one candidate in the race Obama and his crew cannot focus a negative campaign on just one person. So, do what you can do so Rick Santorum and Ron Perry remain as viable candidates for as long as possible And they are viable, strong candidates. And they just might even win though considerably behind right now as of Feb. 2012.

Second, whatever your political leanings, if you oppose Obama-Care, go register as Republican. That way your vote counts in the primary.

Third, write (after appropriate professional consultation with your doctors)an End of Life Medical Directive stating that: a) you reject and want no part of Obama-Care; b) that you reject Obama-Care’s method of the rationing health care for the elderly; c) that you reject the use of ‘death panels’ making medical decisions for you or your loved ones.

Fourth, put a brief statement up on your blog stating that you oppose Obama-Care in its entirety. Send a copy to your Congresspersons.

Fifth, take a liberal/progressive neighbor out for coffee. And tell them how you as a neighbor feel about Obama-Care. Converse and listen to what they have to say. Get the message out to your neighbors and friends. Send e-mails.

Sixth, if you have not already, join a religious/ spiritual group in your community which has evangelism — the zealous advocacy of a cause — as an integral part of its’ Judeo-Christian mission. It’s easier to spread the word when you join with other who are like minded. And through that group, start a Health Care discussion which includes discussion of books and speakers.

Have you noticed that liberals/ progressives vilify ‘the evangelicals’ as an entity with extreme ideas which are out of keeping with modern values? Newspaper columnists typically talk about ‘the evangelicals’ as if they were one coherent group.

You might find “The Real Scandal of the Evangelical Mind” an interesting read. It’s available on Amazon.com and elsewhere. Written by Carl Trueman, a conservative theologian, Trueman pokes holes in the notion that there is any coherent evangelical mind. So, Carl Trueman a conservative theologian thinks that the entity does not exist what the progressives and liberals vilify.

In my view, evangelicals are part of many if not most religious groups.

Some newspaper columnists poke fun at Rick Santorum for holding core values which include opposition to homosexual marriage. For those who oppose Obama-Care it’s important that Santorum has core values and that he is willing to state what they are.

Think about where Obama formed his core values: Obama spent twenty some years in Rev. Wright’s congregation wherein the Rev. preached many ‘god damn America’ sermons.

Different from evangelism, the definition per Google of ‘evangelicalism’ is “the missionary, reforming or redeeming spirit evident throughout the history of Christianity in various guises or emphasis”.

Obama seems to lack the core beliefs in the Judeo-Christian principles that under gird America’s basic political documents — the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Voters via blogs can focus on Obama’s core values which are antithetical — opposite to — the core values of the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. Whereas our political documents look to God as the source of our freedoms, Obama looks to government as the source of people’s freedoms. And what government gives — government can take away. Obama never uses the words “endowed by their Creator” when he talks about basic individual freedoms.

Christian morality is steeped in belief and adherence to the Ten Commandments which include: ‘thou shalt have no other gods before me’ i.e., the worship of God is primary; ‘honor thy father and mother that thy days may be long ‘ i.e., that the children who honor their parents will themselves live to be elderly and frail; ‘thou shalt not bear false witness” i.e., don’t lie and ‘thou shalt not steal thy neighbor’s wife or ox’.

Obama’s behavior as President does not show adherence or belief in these basic Commandments. >

Does Obama honor the elderly and infirm? No. Obama puts no value on the life of a 95 year old grandmother who wants a pace maker. Obama said its better to just give old people pain pills rather than quality health care that is expensive.

Does Obama steal? Obama’s low interest money policies hurt savers and those living on fixed incomes. Who is that? The old. Obama in effect ‘steals’ from the old who saved for their retirement. Obama took [stole?] $500 million from Social Security to fund Obama-Care. That is taking from the elderly.

To summarize: Yes we can repeal the Trojan Horse of Obama-Care.

Romney raked in about $42 million in 2010 and 2011. His effective tax rate was just below 14 percent, lower than that for many American taxpayers. Romney paid $6.2 million to the taxman and donated a staggering $7 million to charity, including $4.1 million to the Mormon church.

In fact, in those two years, Romney paid 16 percent of his income to charity, compared to, er, 2.6 percent by Newt Gingrich.

And what about President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in the run-up to their 2008 campaign?

USA Today broke it down here. In 2007, the Obamas gave more than $240,000 to charity, about 5.7 percent of their income. The Bidens gave an average of $369 to charity a year for the decade before he moved to the Naval Observatory – about 0.3 percent of their income. Back in 1997, then veep Al Gore and his then wife Tipper gave $353.

Since becoming veep, Biden hasn’t become much more generous. In 2010, Biden gave $5,350, about 1.4 percent of income. That same year, Romney gave some $3 million. The national average is about three percent.

Obama’s federal agency NOAA is no Noah’s Ark.

Pronounced like Noah, the federal agency NOAA stands for National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Agency. NOAA’s funding is authorized by the Department of Commerce.

Per how NOAA recently acts as judge, jury and prosecutor against people using the resources of Monterey Bay — huge fines for jet ski users and criminal charges against a biologist for feeding large fish — it may be the right time that the public jerked NOAA’s funding to a standstill?

Interestingly, Democrat congressman Sam Farr refuses to comment on NOAA and has refused to go on a local radio program, KSCO 1080 radio, to discuss NOAA.

Sam Farr is the same Democrat congressman who, when he held four Town Meetings on health care, stated at the beginning that he was there to tell the public that he was going to vote for Obama Care. Sam Farr was not there to listen – he was there to tell the public what he was going to do.

Let’s look at the considerable differences between Noah’s Ark and NOAA’s Mission:

You know the Biblical story: Under God’s direction, Noah built an Ark and put on board two of every kind of animal. When the world flooded, the animals were safe on board the high seas until, finally, a little bird brought back a leaf. The leaf signaled to Noah that land was near and life could go on. And God gave to people the rainbow as a sign that never again would God flood the earth with water.

Today we have NOAA to save the animals, fish, birds and everything from the bottom of the sea all the way to the sun. What a huge charge. And what huge powers turned over to Obama’s political appointees who run NOAA.

Note that NOAA operates under the Commerce Department. According to the 1942 Supreme Court case of Wickard v Filburn, the Commerce Department can set quotas forbidding a farmer to grow wheat used for his own consumption.

It is that same Supreme Case – Wickard v Filburn — that President Obama will use to defend Obama-Care’s mandate that all individuals must purchase health insurance.

This is the Mission Statement listed on NOAA’s website:
“NOAA’s mission is to understand and predict changes in the Earth’s environment, from the depths of the ocean to the surface of the sun, and to conserve and manage our coastal and marine resources.”

Below is information from the NOAA web site stating that NOAA has fined boat owners for exceeding 10 MPH rule NOAA imposed.

How best to rein in NOAA’s power? Cut off their funding. Re-write their Mission statement.

Three vessels charged with violating Right Whale ship strike reduction rule pay penalties
Speed restrictions in seasonal management areas reduce risk of death to endangered whales

Three large commercial vessels who were assessed civil penalties this fall for violating seasonal speed limits designed to protect one of the most endangered whale species in the world have paid their penalties in full. Cases against six other vessels for the same offense are still open.
The ship strike reduction rule, enacted in December 2008, restricts vessels of 65 feet or greater to speeds of 10 knots or less in seasonal management areas along the East Coast to reduce the chances of North Atlantic right whales being injured or killed by ships.
Notices of Violation and Assessment (NOVAs) were issued Nov. 21 by the NOAA Office of General Counsel’s enforcement section to owners and operators of vessels that allegedly traveled multiple times through the seasonal management areas at speeds well in excess of the 10 knots allowed under the regulations.
The alleged violations occurred between November 2009 and January 2011 outside of New York City; Charleston, S.C.; Brunswick, King’s Bay and Savannah, Ga.; and Mayport, Fla.
One vessel was charged with 16 counts of speeding. Vessels’ documented speeds ranged from 13 to 18 knots, and the vessels traveled these speeds for as many as 26 nautical miles.

Each count in the NOVAs was assessed at $5,750, resulting in total penalty assessments ranging from $11,500 to $92,000. None of the vessels receiving NOVAs had prior violations.
The owners and operators had 30 days to respond either by paying the penalty, seeking to have it modified, or requesting a hearing.
Compliance with this rule is critically important for preventing right whale extinction. Ship strikes are the leading source of human-caused mortality for right whales, and together with entanglements in nets, are slowing the recovery of this critically endangered species.
Biologists believe that there are as few as 396 right whales left in the North Atlantic Ocean. Right whales are protected by the Endangered Species Act of 1973 and the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972. The death of even one whale can be devastating to the right whale population. NOAA estimates that a female right whale will need to give birth to four healthy calves over her lifetime to successfully replace herself within the population.

“Moments like this make my job easy. I have been writing and producing video evidence that super-union SEIU planned the Occupy Wall Street movement for two months now. I have been doing this to refute false claims being made by Big Media outlets like ABC News and Time Magazine who have consistently reported that OWS is a “leaderless” movement, a spontaneous uprising of the people.” These reports are false.

SEIU, funded by George Soros money, has been planning OWS since at least March of this year, when former SEIU executive Stephen Lerner was videotaped imploring a union audience in Seattle that “we need to create a crisis” which would disable and dismantle the US banking system.

Andy Stern, an SEIU leader, has personally visited Barack Obama at the White House more than 22 times since Obama took office in 2009.

It was SEIU lobbyists hammering Congress for months on end, who the ones responsible for the passage of the only two pieces of legislation to come out of the first term of Barack Obama’s presidency: the 2009 Financial Recovery Act, [ aka the bank bail out bill ] and Obamacare. If you want to know who has really been running the country for the past three years look no further than SEIU.

Last night the current president of SEIU, Mary Kay Henry, was arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge while marching with the protesters and confronting police.

“…Building a new movement for social and economic justice in our country …” Is this “new movement” that Mary Kay refers to a socialist or communist movement? What is the REAL objective of SEIU in endorsing #OWS and Obama in 2012?

I believe there should be a formal investigation into the relationship between SEIU, Barack Obama and the Occupy Movement. When the movement tips the brink and falls over into open revolution against the government of the nation, there should be a legal precedent to take action. Our constitution states that the highest office in the land has a duty to protect our nation from all enemies, both without, and within.Barack Obama has been doing just the opposite. I would venture to say that the Occupy Movement was planned and nurtured during those many meetings Obama had with Andy Stern in 2009 and 2010. There needs to be a formal congressional investigation of what took place in those meetings between Andy Stern and Barack Obama in 2009, 2010, and the minutes thereof need to be made public. All of it needs to be aired.

It’s time to call for an investigation of SEIU and what has been going on behind the scenes that has led to people spilling into the streets, many thousands of them not even having the vaguest idea what it is they are really protesting about.

I see what SEIU is doing to instigate violence uprising in the streets as a clear and present danger to the republic of the United States of America.

THAT is the truth and the heart of it.

All over the world those who have traded in fraud and criminal acts, engaging upon subversion for serf-sering goals and purposes, one by one are hitting the skids and they have nothing to fall back on.

There is an increase of truth coming into the open despite the owned and controlled propaganda from the subversive media bases.
It all looks threatening and confusing, but when people with courage and initiative bring the truth, initially you get confusion and step by step that clears and things move to a better base.

Each part of the malicious subversive intent that lies behind the visible public outcry of “useful idiots” is coming to light. Intent to commit murder, fraud and criminal acts of harm are all part of the subversion.

President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.

In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).

The Department of Health and Human Services has signed a no-bid contract with Siga Technologies for as much as much as 2.8 billion dollars’ worth of a high priced drug, for a terrorism threat that may not exist.

The drug’s effectiveness is unknown because it cannot be tested on humans. The threat it is intended to counter is an attack based on Smallpox (which has been eradicated and “is known to exist only in the locked freezers of a Russian scientific institute and the U.S. government.”)

A large stockpile of effective and inexpensive smallpox vaccine already exists. The new drug is intended to be used after exposure to smallpox in the event of a bioterrorism attack.
Even if the threat were real, and the drug actually effective, the expensive (estimated $255 per dose, a price that bears no relationship at all to production cost) stockpile only has a shelf life of 38 months.

By coincidence, Siga is controlled by Billionaire Democrat mega-donor Ronald Perelman.

So to summarize: An untested, possibly fatal drug will be bought for billions of dollars from an Obama supporter to fight an unproven threat which will have to happen within 38 months so the drug’s effect,whatever it is, doesn’t expire.

Obama bites holes in Bill of Rights, especially Tenth

How has Obama, who taught Constitutional Law, most harmed the U.S. Constitution and thereby weakened the rights of average American citizen?

Obama knows the Constitution — he taught it — and Obama has sought to weaken the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution.

Think about the Bill of Rights.

Obama’s policies have harmed the First Amendment (speech) the Second Amendment (right to bear guns) and probably the greatest harm done has been to the 10th Amendment — that powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the states by the Constitution are reserved, respectively, to the states or the people. Think about that: All powers not granted to the federal government belong to the People — you and me. What a huge right.

Attack on the Second Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms.

In the news today, Diane Feinstein, a Democratic Senator from California, and long time supporter of Obama’s policies, now supports much stricter gun control laws. [By the way, for years She carries a gun in her purse]

Why does Democrat Senator Feinstein now support stricter gun control? Because Senator Feinstein thinks that guns can get into the wrong hands too easily. That is true, especially if the U.S. government, under the auspices of Obama’s Justice Department, smooth the way to put guns into the hands of Mexican criminals.

Fast and Furious, under the purview of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, sold guns to Mexican criminals so they supposedly could trace the cartels to see where the guns went. That was the theory.

The Mexican drug cartel used the guns and the end result was a lot of people got killed.So now the Obama government, which sold the guns to the outlaws, wants to restrict the right of American citizens to keep and bear arms.

Obama, who thinks government is the answer to every problem, want control of guns to reside in the hands of government.

Restriction on freedom of speech:
In Obama’s State of the Union address — with the Supreme Court sitting front and center — President Obama castigated the Court for extending freedom of speech to include corporations and unions. Corporations no longer have to have PACs in place when they make a political contribution. Corporations and unions now have full political rights.

Obama first tries to get a law passesd, If that does not work then he uses regulations to get the same results. Overriding all is Obama’s faith that governmnet is the answer and that citizens need to be controlled.

In less than one year citizens have the right to choose: more of Obama’s version of Hope and Change or? What do you hope will change after the next election?

I hope that all the regulations put in place the last 3 years are put on HOLD. Let’s wind back the tape. What say you?

More uncertainty as Obama continues Clinton's low & no documents mortgage lending practices

Obama supports efforts to sue originators for robo-signing violations. The double whammy: Do what I tell you to do and when you do I will sue you to boot.

What Clinton started Obama continues — government mandate that Fannie and Freddie lend to people with little or no documentation. Hence the housing mess continues.

The Clinton administration required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to lend to low income, minority borrowers. In early 2004 senior management of Fannie and Freddie realized that the only way to meet Clinton political mandates was to massively cut underwriting standards. Which they did.

Per “The Failure of Models that Predict Failure by Rajan, Seru Viz, more than half of the mortgage losses reflected the predictable consequences of low-doc and no-doc lending.

If the under-writing standards at Fannie and Freddie circa 2003 had remained in place, nothing like the magnitude of the sub prime crises would have occurred. Taxpayer losses at Fannie and Freddie alone may exceed $300 BILLION.

Obama has perpetuated the low underwriting standards that gave us the crises. Obama encourages the postponement of foreclosures by lending support to various states’ efforts to sue originators for robo-signing violations.

Now Obama wants to sue the originatiors who fulfilled the politically motivated demands of the goernment-sponsored agencies that drove the morgage crisis.
