Disqus not working on Santa Cruz Sentinel EXCEPT for the Editor’s Blog. How come?

Readers of the Santa Cruz Sentinel like to Disqus way to comment on articles. But lately Disqus does not work — except it does work for Don Miller’s blog. Mr. Miller is the Editor of the paper.

In today’s paper there was an especially dumb letter. It called Disqus responders “sociopaths” and that they had nothing to do as they are from elsewhere commenting on far off events. What the writer of that letter does not know is that the addresses listed have nothing to do with where the person actually resides. Writers put whatever they want.

So how come the Editor’s Discus works and only that one?

Seems like the same names frequently appear.

Bob Oberg today 2-20 refers to the “regular crew of sociopaths.. as “out of towners who must have little going on in their lives as they comment on distant events…”

Doesn’t Oberg know that people can use whatever address they want?

The sentinel does not cherish diverse opinion hence no
easy internet discussion. Note today’s letter contributors for verification.

Disqus looks like a nice way to connect to other communities.
