OYSTERS DEAD OR ALIVE
OYSTERS DEAD OR ALIVE

Oysters dead or alive?  At The Brooklyn Seafood, Steak and Oyster House in Seattle, WA you get your oysters dead or alive.

Sometimes I do prefer mine fried as that way I know they are dead. And some winter days I start with oyster stew.

But when I was last  in Seattle  I preferred  them raw  and thought various thoughts:  “Why then the world’s mine oyster. Which with sword will open it”.

When you go to The Brooklyn Seafood, Steak and Oyster House, sit at the bar in high backed chairs.  And, if it is a slow evening , perhaps you can converse with the oyster cooks.  I talked to Christian, one of the cooks,  who has worked there about 10 years.  He has much to say about oysters both dead and alive.

Let me know if your experience was as mine — unmatched in a long time for presentation of food, ambiance and quality food. And good conversation.    written by  Cameron Jackson
