Latest who gets Medal of Freedom:  Joe Biden

Matt Lauer  (so we hear)  was in tears when Barack Obama awarded Joe Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom in a surprise ceremony Thursday.

“Iâ€m glad there were no cameras in my apartment yesterday because I was just sitting there weeping,” Lauer said Friday morning on the “Today” show. “I just burst out crying when I saw that moment.”

” It was incredible.
