Green waste stays as your waste unless you ….

Green waste remains   on your property as your waste unless you …. follow the rules. The Santa Cruz County company,   Greenwaste Recovery Inc,   says:  You must put your “green” yard debris   into GREEN bio-degradable bags — not plastic bags  — and those green  biodegradable bags  must weigh less than 50 pounds.   Those are the garbage company’s  rules.  For a mere $4.00 per bag Greenwaste  will take plastic bags as “garbage”.  Does the garbage company supply the appropriate bags? No – you buy them.  Ace Hardware in the Rancho del Mar shopping center in  Aptos carries 5 bags for $3.49 that hold 30 gallon and are for composting.  These  are heavy duty paper bags.  Looking on the internet for bio-degradable bags …..  Where does Santa Cruz county green waste go?  Elsewhere!      written by Cameron Jackson

Mulling over Mueller’s conflict of interests

 Mueller’s conflicts of interest.

Conservative media has taken a new tack against Mueller in recent weeks, zeroing in on the sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to the Russia state-owned nuclear firm Rosatom.

Uranium One, at the time of the deal, held licenses for about 20 percent of America’s uranium production capacity. The sale was approved by nine members on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in 2010, while President Obama was in office. Mueller was the director of the FBI at the time.

But reporting by The Hill has shown that the FBI had knowledge of bribery and racketeering schemes at Tenex, a subsidiary of Rosatom, before CFIUS approved the deal.

Republican lawmakers critical of the deal have questioned whether the FBI shared that information with other members of CFIUS before it was approved — an aspect of the controversy that conservative media has seized upon.

“Robert Mueller, I hope you’re watching, you need to testify under oath,” Fox News host Sean Hannity said earlier this month. “Back in 2009, he was the FBI director, this was when the bureau, the FBI so clearly had this information. He has conflicts of interest. There is no way the American people can trust Robert Mueller to investigate anything Russia-related. For him to be fair and impartial is impossible because of his past role in this. He should resign immediately, tonight.”

Comments:   What “crime” was committed and therefore Mueller investigates?   No crime has been stated.  Clearly there were and are on-going attempts of Russia and other countries to interfere in American affairs.  The General who lied did so during transition – not during the campaign.  So we should we impeach Trump …. what the mainstream media and  “the deep state” want  ….  because Trump fired FBI Comey who “knew” the General lied?

Firenze Sage–Most transparent administration – Trump or Obama?

reporters access to the President.

Trump’s administration is more transparent.  The editor of the Washington Post revealed an inside Washington secret Monday about President Trump: He is far more accessible to reporters than former President Obama.

Martin Baron told a conference on journalism ethics that Trump regularly makes himself available to reporters, even if it sometimes comes with criticism of the media.

The driver worked for Imos Pizza.

According to Fox 2 Now, police were called to a shooting on “the 4600 block of Spring at around 11:30 pm” Thursday night. They arrived to find a 41-year-old deliveryman had come under attack by two suspects while delivering pizzas. That attack including being pistol whipped and taking fire from one of the suspected robbers.

Firenze Sage: Cops feared Antifa, not Nazis in Charlottesville riots

ANTIFA fears:  A new bombshell independent report.  The report  highlights the failures of the Charlottesville Police Department during the white nationalist “Unite the Right” rally in August 2017.  The report  claims that law enforcement on the scene feared direct attacks from far-left extremists  — from ANTIFA –  and that this may have even led to their refusal to intervene in the chaotic riot.

The report was drafted by a former U.S. attorney hired by the city of Charlottesville, Va., Timothy Heapy, through his law firm.

According to the report, the authors “spoke to multiple officers at all levels who expressed concern that normal arrest procedures would put officers in harm’s way.

In the week before August 12, the Virginia Fusion Center shared credible threats that members of Antifa would bring soda cans filled with cement and might attack police. Then, on the morning of August 12, rumors circulated among CPD that Antifa might attack officers with fentanyl.

The apparent threat of violence against police from Antifa reportedly led officers to avoid direct confrontation in the ensuing melee.

As the report notes, a variety of orders were given by a multitude of different law enforcement officers to avoid breaking up fights between the Unite the Right rally attendees and counter-protesters.

For example, “Lieutenant Brian O’Donnell, commander of Zone 3 (1stStreet) instructed his officers to avoid engaging attendees over ‘every little thing.’”

Furthermore, “Sergeant Robert Haney described the instructions he received as ‘do not interrupt mutual combat’ unless someone is seriously injured,” the report alleges.

The report noted Lieutenant McKean “told [the authors of the report] that he was ‘not sending guys out there and getting them hurt.’

The report concludes that the police strategy was therefore to “rather than engage the crowd and prevent fights, the CPD plan was to declare the event  unlawful and disperse the crowd.

The Antifa movement is a conglomeration of autonomous, self-styled anti-fascist groups in the United States.[2][3][4] The principal feature of antifa groups is their opposition to fascism through the use of direct action.[5] They engage in militant protest tactics, which has included property damage and physical violence.[2][6][7][8] They tend to be anti-government and anti-capitalist[9] and they are predominantly far-left and militant left,[10][5] which includes anarchists, communists and socialists.[11][12][13][14] Their stated focus is on fighting far-right and white supremacist ideologies directly, rather than on encouraging pro-left policy.[5]

Firenze Sage comments:    Don’t expect anyone to apologize for calling Trump nuts for saying it was mutual combat.

My lips are sealed forever – hopes former IRS Lois Lerner

IRS Lois Lerner hopes her lips are sealed forever

Will the public ever  know what  former IRS  Lois Lerner knows about targeting conservative groups applying for non-profit status?

Lerner wants the courts to make it impossible for the public to know.

The public has already forked out $3.5 MILLION for Ms. Lerner’s actions.  The public has a right to hear how she justified what she did at the IRS.

Share children’s books with Soledad Prison?

Do you have some children books? Want to share with families at Soledad Prison?

Do you have a few  children’s books that might wing their way towards Soledad Prison?  A great way for families to relate is sharing a book with a child.

This is  written by Pastor Dale Sollom-Brotherton  from the December Newsletter from Christ Lutheran Church, Aptos:

“Melanie Larson is developing a project to provide new children’s books for prisoners and their
families at Soledad Prison. She is working with prison officials and a local high school teacher
who has been meeting with prisoners for the past four years.

“Here’s what one prisoner  wrote recently:
When reading The Grapes of Wrath two years ago at Soledad Prison, one of the inmates,
referring to the Joad’s plight from the dustbowl, said, “You know, when I killed that man, I put
his entire family in an emotional desert for the rest of their lives. I can’t make up for it, but let
me at least try to make my life meaningful to others.”

“This is why we go inside the prison. Deep connection and possibility.

“Using children’s books expands this effort to include the families of prisoners.

If you’d like todonate a book or two please bring it/them to the church office and leave in the box on the
desk. Or, give Melanie a call.

“I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was
in prison and you visited me.” (Matthew 25:36)
