Manchester deaths: some say no muslims here – kaboom

  The Labour mayor of Greater Manchester has claimed the suicide bomber who killed 22 was not a Muslim, insisting the “worst thing that can happen” is people blaming Muslims.

Andy Burnham, a former Labour frontbencher who was elected mayor this month, insisted the attack, claimed by Islamic State, had nothing to do with Islam.

“The message that I would want to get over – and this is how the vast majority of people feel – this man was a terrorist, not a Muslim,” he said, speaking to LBC Radio.

“He does not represent the Muslim community. We’ve got to keep that distinction in mind all the time. This was an unspeakable act. The worst thing that can happen is that people use this to blame an entire community, the Muslim community.

“In my view, the man who committed this atrocity no more represents the Muslim community than the individual who murdered my friend Jo Cox represents the white, Christian community.”

Similarly, following the Westminster knife and car attack, Prime Minister Theresa May said the “Islamist” attack on Parliament was not “Islamic”.

Haras Rafiq, the CEO of the anti-extremism Quilliam Foundation, which has advised the Government, accused Mr. Burnham of “basically doing what ISIS is doing”.

He also said “there is no such thing as a lone wolf”, predicting the terrorist was part of a “network”. He claimed “every single jihadist terrorist has been part of the globally inspired Islamist ideology”.

This major league idiot [Brianna Wu]        thinks bombs have eyes.

The horrific terrorist attack in Manchester, UK after an Ariana Grande concert,  left 22 people dead, including an eight-year-old girl, and at least 50 people wounded. It’s the worst terror attack the United Kingdom has experienced since the London July 7 bombings in 2005.
Twelve of the 22 fatalities were under the age of 16. The UK authorities are treating this as a terrorist attack.
The perpetrator of this suicide bombing was 23-year-old Salman Abedi, who detonated his explosive near the box office of the Manchester Arena. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Responses have been that of shock, horror, disgust, and sadness. Social media responses are mostly an outpouring of support, though some have been quite vile. Over here, one Democratic congressional candidate in Massachusetts,

Brianna Wu, decided to blame sexism instead of terrorism.

 Background on Wu:   Wu stated, in a radio interview, that Lynch did not sufficiently represent the Democrats, citing his positions on reproductive health care and LGTB rights. Wu also came out in favor of unions and collective bargaining.[15] Wu feels that Massachusetts proportionally contributes more to the Federal government than it receives in return and wants to use it as leverage in negotiations. She hopes that the Boston Bay area can rival San Francisco Bay as a technology hub.[16] Wu plans to move to the 8th District in order to challenge the incumbent Lynch.[17]

While the world watched in horror at the news of a bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England on Monday evening, ordinary Mancunians jumped in to do whatever they could to assist the survivors of the attack.

There were dozens of stories of hotels taking in stranded children, adults helping to lead scared concertgoers to safety, and taxi drivers driving people home for free. These are all incredibly inspiring stories, and are nice reminders that even in the midst of unspeakable horror, some sort of “good” can emerge.

And then there’s this (now-deleted) tweet, from Cosmopolitan: “Muslim Taxi Drivers Took Kids Trying to Escape the Manchester Ariana Grande Concert Home For Free”…with a picture of a man who is actually a Sikh.

California – The classless Democrats gathered in Sacramento for a state convention on Saturday. They had some harsh words for the President as they chanted, ‘F*** Donald Trump!’.

The party’s leaders   — including Nancy Pelosi —  blasted Trump’s alleged ties to Russia and presented California as the epicenter of liberal resistance to the president.

“The world, literally the world, is counting on all of you, counting on California to reject Trump’s deception and destructiveness,” said Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is among a crowded field of Democrats running for governor next year.

U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, often mentioned as a potential candidate for president in 2020, accused Trump of putting “Russia first, America second.”

In a sign of the vigor of the party’s distaste for the president, outgoing party Chair John Burton, a longtime Democratic lawmaker and powerbroker known for his blunt and profane manner, extended two middle fingers in the air as the crowd cheered and joined him.

“F— Donald Trump,” John Burton  said.

 So it’s not OK  for the top Justice person, Jeff  Sessions,  to talk to ambassadors?

CNN anchor JAKE TAPPER: Congresswoman, Attorney General Sessions said he was recusing himself from the matter but obviously played a leading role in the firing of Comey, he’s playing a leading role in the hiring of his replacement. Do you have concerns about that?

REP. STEPHANIE MURPHY (D), FLORIDA: Absolutely I do have concerns about that. We know that  Attorney General Sessions recused himself because he had had contact with Russian government officials and I’m somebody who has had one of the highest clearances in this country and I know that —

TAPPER: You used to serve at the Pentagon.

MURPHY: That’s correct.And I know that there’s no such thing as appropriate contact with a hostile foreign government, and so he’s recused himself from the Russian investigation. I don’t believe that he should be involved in selecting the FBI director. We need to have somebody who is beyond reproach in that position.

What do Americans want? jobs & lower taxes. What do they get? another investigation about Russia …

 

Americans want jobs. Americans get another investigation.
Americans want jobs. Lower taxes.  Americans get another investigation about Russia.

What do Americans want?    more  jobs, lower taxes,  repeal  ObamaCare, and control of  illegal  immigration.  Those were issues which caused people to vote for Trump.

What does America get?  Another investigation about Russia ....  whether Russia colluded with Trump or Trump with Russia.

What do we know?  Three weeks after a diner with President Trump ( on Feb. 14), James Comey testified under oath  on May 3, 2017   that there were no attempts by the Trump administration to obstruct any ongoing investigation.  Comey said that loud and clear on May 3, 2017.

Now there’s a ‘memo’ leaked to the New York Times wherein Comey memorializes the conversation he and Trump had on Feb. 14, 2017.  Per the Comey  ‘memo’, (which no one has yet seen)    did Trump say something to FBI Comey on Feb. 14, 2017  that Comey construed  at the time as interfering in an on-going investigation and thus obstruction of justice?

The FBI Director — if he alleges obstruction of justice by Trump due to interference with an ongoing investigation  — is required by law to report that to his boss. Comey did not report. Comey committed a crime if he did not report obstruction of justice.

Another question:  If FBI Director Comey memorialized in writing his conversations with Donald Trump, did Comey also memorialize his conversations with former President Obama?  If Comey did so, what did Obama say to Comey about the ongoing investigation into Hilary Clinton, her personal email servier and her release of  classified confidential information?

So now it’s time for the Trump administration to deliver what Americans want:  move ahead on the domestic issues that Americans want — more jobs, lower taxes, repeal and replace ObamaCare and control of illegal immigration.

San Francisco has gun storage laws, a hollow point ammunition ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, and a surge in shooting victims that has now hit a six-year high.

In fact, while many types of crime have fallen in San Francisco, gun crimes have have surged.

 According to the San Francisco Chronicle, “Property crimes fell 11 percent in San Francisco, from 53,291 reported cases in 2015 to 47,658 in 2016.”  Reported thefts, burglaries, arson, and stolen vehicles also decreased. But firearm-related murders for 2016 surged 15 percent over 2015 figures and the number of shooting victims in 2016 increased 27 percent over 2015.

This surge was predicted when the “high capacity” magazine ban was being pushed–and ultimately adopted–in 2013. On November 21, 2013, ABC News 7 quoted San Francisco Veterans Police Officers Association’s Larry Barsetti saying, “All you’re doing is impacting honest law-abiding citizens of San Francisco; the bad guys aren’t going to obey this law; they’re not supposed to be carrying in the first place.”

Baltimore, Maryland, has gun controls similar to those in San Francisco, including a ban on “high capacity” magazines. And on May 1, 2017, Breitbart News reported that Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh (D) was asking the FBI to intervene and stem the surging murder rate.

Remember all those thousands of  people that suddenly appeared at airports right after the first ban on various people entering the USA? Those people did not spontaneously show up at airports.  They were paid.

Why fire Napoliitano?  Corruption. Remember, Janet Napolitano was in charge of the security of America under former President Obama. Now she’s in charge of the University of California system of higher education.

A scathing state audit accuses Janet Napolitano of graft and corruption:   that she  hid  tens of millions of dollars in reserves — even from the board of directors —  that  she  padded  the salaries and benefits of Napoitano’s staff and that   she  created  a secret spending plan.

Napolitano’s office also intercepted a confidential survey that the auditor sent to individual campus officials causing them to soften their responses.

Repeatedly, the UC system has increased tuition to backfill state budget cuts and turned away record numbers of CA high school seniors while admitting higher paying out-of-state and international students.

  Christians in Sydney, Australia, are being advised to hide their crosses after an Arabic-speaking gang shouting “F*** Jesus!” attacked a couple on a train while transport officers looked on from a “safe space” and did nothing.

The Sydney-based Daily Telegraph – a News Corp outlet unrelated to the Telegraph Media Group newspaper of the same name – reports the couple were attacked while riding the train through “Muslim enclaves” in south-west Sydney.

 Mike, who asked for his surname to be withheld for fear he might be targeted, said that four men of Middle Eastern appearance ripped his cross from his neck, stomped on it, and rained kicks and punches on his face, back, and shoulders. Two women attacked his girlfriend when she tried to protect him.

Five uniformed transport officers watched the attack take place but failed to intervene, Mike claimed, leaving the police to meet the train at a later station.

“I was born in Australia of Greek heritage,” Mike told the Telegraph. “I’ve always worn my cross. For [them] to rip it off and step on it has to be a religious crime.

Below is a picture of the cross that was ripped from an Australian Greek Orthodox  man by a group of Muslims while transit personnel watched.  Authorities say transit personnel provide passenger service not protection.
