Aptos Psychologist: It’s Easter! Change depression to new life …

It’s Easter Day!  Time for new life! No matter how old you are. Or how young.

Are you a depressed young person  and feel  trapped?  Do you feel caught by Big Brother?  Do you want to do things but have no car, have no money and don’t know where to begin?  Does that describe you or someone you know?

Then ‘s time for you  to kick ass on causes that you  care about.  Join a cause or make your own. For example, 3 out of 4 young persons say they have no clue how to manage their cash. Learn how with your friends. Take charge of your money world.

Make your passions into your causes.  You will change. And you can change the world around you.

Here’s one way how for young persons 13 to 25.

Go to dosomething.org and learn how to change passions into reality.   Tell us what happens as you change your worlds — internal and external.  DrCameronJackson@gmail.com

Who We Are  [Do Something.org]

DoSomething.org is the country’s largest nonprofit for young people and social change. We have 1,425,974 million members (and counting) who kick ass on causes they care about. Bullying. Homelessness. Cancer. The list goes on. DoSomething.org spearheads national campaigns so 13- to 25-year-olds can make an impact – without ever needing money, an adult, or a car. Over 2.4 million people took action through DoSomething.org in 2012. You know, because apathy sucks.

We:

  1. Believe in young people. Young people have the power to lead. We don’t require old people!
  2. Trust young people. We provide reliable, easy-to-access information and activation strategies, but young people decide for themselves what to do.
  3. Celebrate young people. We think all measurable contributions from young people are valuable.
  4. Respect young people. We understand that young people have diverse abilities and constraints.
  5. Value young people. Our programs and products are free. We’re not after young people’s money; we want their passion, time, and creativity

Firenze Sage: more Obama lies [ felons released]

Obama lies about number of illegals released. Not 200 but 2,200+ already released early Feb. 2013 due to sequestration.

Not 200 but 2,200+ illegal immigrant  felons were  released by Obama in  Feb. 2013 because of  automatic budget  cuts.

The Obama administration reversed itself Thursday, acknowledging to Congress that it had, in fact, released more than 2,000 illegal immigrants from immigration jails due to budget constraints during three weeks in February.

The director of U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, John Morton, said his agency had released 2,228 illegal immigrants during that period for what he called “solely budgetary reasons.” The figure was significantly higher than the “few hundred” immigrants the Obama administration had publicly acknowledged were released under the budget-savings process. He testified during a hearing by a House appropriations subcommittee.     Full Story      Story that Violent Felons were  Released

Obama couldn’t have cut anywhere else,  huh?  How much longer do we endure a president who lies to us and now endangers us?

Firenze Sage: Time to write these folks off [Obama’s priorities]

No money for self guided White House tours arranged 30+ days ago & no one answering the phone. In contrast, no cut in pay for White House staff who make hand written invitations. Obama’s priority is that people feel pain?

Despite the closing the doors to public tours because of the automatic budget  sequester cuts, the White House continues to employ three calligraphers, with the “chief calligrapher” making $96,725.

Patricia Blair, the chief calligrapher, has two deputies — Debra Brown, earning $85,953 and Richard Muffler, earning $94,372, The Weekly Standard reported.

The White House has made no announcement to scale back on calligraphers, despite sequester cuts.

Calligraphers are needed for the preparation of invitations, placards, citations and White House awards, created by hand, according to the White House.

Ok,  now lay off the cops and firemen so we can have pretty invitations.

Firenze Sage: Such a dodderer! [Shirley Williams on Gaza]

Shirley Williams ignorant that all Jews left Gaza in 2005

Shirley Williams, Baroness Williams of Crosby PC (born 27 July 1930) is a British politician and academic. Williams also serves as Professor Emerita of Electoral Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Shirley Williams told the audience that Gaza is ‘a slum’ and then went on to say the following:

‘It’s crowded out to the gills. It’s full of people struggling to find a box in which to live.
It’s full of people who see their land slowly eaten up by more and more Israeli settlements.’
—————————————————————–
Firenze Sage comments:     There is not a Jew in Gaza. Not a Jewish family, not a Jewish settlement, not a Jewish house, not a Jew. The place is – as the Palestinians have said they would like the West Bank to be if it comes under their full control – wholly and absolutely Judenrein.                jaj48@aol.com

Firenze Sage: Better off with Pelosi gone?

A day after complaining that the “fiscal cliff” negotiations are “getting boring,” Nancy Pelosi was spotted yesterday afternoon skipping town.

Nancy Pelosi 0009 3

She was comfortably situated in first class on United Airlines flight 1460, which was scheduled to leave Dulles Airport at 2:53 p.m. and arrive in San Francisco 5:57 p.m. A list on United’s website of those who were on the upgrade standby list reveals that PEL, N. (presumably, Nancy Pelosi) was upgraded to seat 4F, a window seat in first class.

The answer is still in doubt. Are we better off if she is there or gone.

Firenze Sage: Krugman vs Krugman [Social Security a Ponzi?]

Is Social Security a Ponzi? Krugman’s view 15 yrs ago and now.

Krugman says now:

” It’s true that Social Security is mainly a system in which each generation pays for the previous generation’s retirement, in the expectation that it will receive the same treatment from the next generation.  So there’s nothing Ponziesque at all.

Fifteen (15) years ago, Krugman said:

Social Security is structured from the point of view of the recipients as if it were an ordinary retirement plan: what you get out depends on what you put in. So it does not look like a re-distributionist scheme. In practice it has turned out to be strongly re- distributionist, but only because of its Ponzi game aspect, in which each generation takes more out than it put in. Well, the Ponzi game will soon be over….

Firenze Sage: the royal Obamas [cost double the royal British]

Obama family cost twice that of British royal family

US spends more than double on the Obama family  compared to British royal family:

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.
