Harry Reid says “Never mind what the Indians want.”
Last week the controversy over the NFL Washington Redskins’ name, deemed offensive by the professionally aggrieved, reached a new peak when the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board canceled six federal trademark registrations owned by the team.
American Indians like the Redskin name:
Ten years ago a poll of American Indians found that 90% of Indians polled in 48 states found the name inoffensive. In a January 2014 poll, a broad majority of adults (83%) responded that the Washington Redskins should not change their nickname. Among football fans, that majority was even higher: 87%.
“The issue is never the issue,†as Saul Alinsky used to state. “The issue is always the revolution.â€
Names that the Patent Office ignores:
The Daily Caller, for example, listed twelve trademarks that the United States Patent and Trademark Office apparently finds less worthy of addressing than “Redskins.†Those trademarks include, among others, such brands as Uppity Negro, Dago Swag, Kraut Krap, and Figgas Over Niggas. The hypocrisy is blatant and almost hilarious. But the Washington Redskins make a more useful and visible political target.

Firenze Sage: Â Why ask for consistency when political correctness will do?
What to do about the thousands of child immigrants flooding the country from Central America? About 50,000 have arrived and 90,000 are expected by end of 2014.
Turn off the  pipeline of  money transfers from USA to  Central America.
Make it illegal for persons working in the USA to transfer any funds back to their county of origin in Central America.
Rather than acting as  a conduit for more children to arrive and settle with sponsors/ relatives from Central America and receive  immediate free social services for refugees,   by stopping the money flow that will stop parents from sending their children on dangerous journeys.
Remind  President Obama that the USA is an exceptional nation. Precisely because America  is exceptional is why parents in Central America risk their childrens’ lives to enter illegally in a dangerous manner.
Speed up deportations.
Treat all illegal immigrants just as we treat illegal entries from Canada and Mexico — turn them back at the border. Let’s be fair to all and have one line for entry from where ever.
No legal representation for children fleeing from Central America.
Tell your representatives that these children must have immediate, safepassage home to their country of origin — without legal representation. In the last 10 years roughly half represented by lawyers won the right to stay typically after 4-5 years of proceedings.
President Obama injures  our individual liberties with his “I have a pen and telephone” attitude towards law.
Obama only enforces laws to his liking. . Support the law suit by the House of Representatives who represent We the People. Â President Obama does not “faithfully execute the laws” so do not expect him to keep his word on anything.
The border must be closed as a first step to immigration reform.
What kind of reform? One line. All come in legally with a tamper proof ID. Â All come in because this country needs particular skills.
Multiple surveys have found the VHA providing better care than most Americans receive, even as the agency has held cost increases well below those facing Medicare and private insurers…the VHA is an integrated system, which provides health care as well as paying for it. So it’s free from the perverse incentives created when doctors and hospitals profit from expensive tests and procedures, whether or not those procedures actually make medical sense.
Krugman added, “Yes, this is ‘socialized medicine’…But it works, and suggests what it will take to solve the troubles of US health care more broadly.â€

Secretary of State John Kerry admonishes Putkin:  “You just don’t in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on completely trumped up pretext.â€
Secretary of State Kerry also told David Gregory that “Putkin had no imperial designs …”
Firenze Sage, Esq.  This is the guy  [Kerry] who, notwithstanding Iran and the new Soviet Union, says the world’s greatest threat is climate change. Tell that to the Ukranians.
[Saying that climate change ranks among the world’s most serious problems — such as disease outbreaks, poverty, terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction — U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called on all nations to respond to “the greatest challenge of our generation.”
Kerry, speaking before college students in Jakarta, Indonesia, also criticized climate-change deniers, saying “a few loud interest groups” shouldn’t be given the chance to misdirect the conversation.]
Michelle Obama, her two daughters, Malia and Sasha, and her mother touched down Thursday in China for what’s being touted as a weeklong feel-good tourist event.Â
The nature of her visit is really quite different,†deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters ahead of the trip.
“What the first lady really brings is the power of her own story, the power of American values.”
White House officials have refused to detail how much the trip will cost taxpayers but the First Lady has been criticized many times for her lavish vacations at taxpayers’ expense.
Michelle will not be discussing the long history of human rights abuses perpetrated by the communist government, nor will she try to meet with Chinese dissidents striving for freedom in that oppressive land.
White House officials say that because politics won’t be a focus on First Lady Michelle Obama’s visit to China, no reporters will be allowed to accompany her on the trip. Officials claim that Michelle’s trip will be a “people-to-people exchange” meant to advocate for the importance of education, not politics.
Firenze Sage, Esq. Â Â This is the woman [Michelle Obama] Â who was never proud of America until Barrack became president. Before that she was raised in a middle class family and through affirmative action went to the Ivy league.
Climate wizard Reid conflates weather with climate change:
Harry Reid claims that recent bad weather is more evidence climate change exists and needs a response from the federal government. Reid’s comments today come just after the Senate’s all-night “talkathon,” during which several Democratic senators spoke back-to-back about climate change.
“Every day that goes by, every week that goes, every month that goes by, every year that goes by … there’s more evidence of the dangers of climate change,” Reid said Tuesday afternoon, in response to a question from THE WEEKLY STANDARD.
“The more climate changes, the more extreme the weather gets, and we’ve seen that in spades, said Harry Reid.
Asked about Democrats’ inaction on climate change legislation when the party had a 60-vote supermajority in the Senate early in the Obama administration, Reid said Democrats were busy with other legislation, including Obamacare.
Your wife or your dog? To protect your dog, salmon and birds,  don’t have babies with your wife? Really?
Pick up a copy of Obama’s $3.9 trillion budget . There,  among the TSA fee hikes, Medicare payment cuts and the $400 million for the Department of Homeland Security to fight global warming is a curious little item.
On Page 930 of  Obama’s  budget that never ends is $575 million for “family planning/reproductive healthâ€Â worldwide especially in “areas where population growth threatens biodiversity or endangered species.â€
The idea that the way to protect insects, fish and animals is by preventing human beings from having children is part of an approach known as Population, Health and Environment (PHE),  PHE h integrates population control into environmentalist initiatives.
Firenze Sage, Esq. Â Environmental madness paid for by US!!
More info about PHE:
“More than 1 billion people live in ecological hotspots, many of which are remote areas of critically important biodiversity under intense pressure from human activity. Conservation work is usually located in these remote areas to protect the remaining biodiversity. In the developing world, the communities in these remote areas often suffer from ill health because of limited access to health services or family planning. These communities also tend to suffer from poor nutrition, water supplies or sanitation. Inadequate health care in these communities is usually because of economic struggles. Livelihoods in the rural communities depend on natural resources and small-scale agriculture, which can force people to use natural resources unsustainably because of pressures such as rapid population growth or health issues. This can be damaging to ecosystems and the biodiversity in these rural areas.
Conversely, people’s health relies on the health of their environment. Their surrounding ecosystem provides them with goods and services such as water, food, medicine, fuel wood, building materials, and other resources. Damage or disruption of these natural goods and services can have severe consequences for human health.”
Birds cooked  by solar plant in CA.  A 2 billion $  bird killer!  What are we doing?
Birds like heat. Guess what! Bird die after largest solar plant opens in Ca. How? Cooked to death. Good heavens!
New solar plant  covers 5  square miles. More info:
The Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System, the world’s largest “tower-based” solar plant, is scheduled to open this week in the Mojave Desert. According to Brightsource, one of the project’s investors, the plant covers 3,500 acres (five square miles) with “over 300,000 software-controlled mirrors [that] track the sun in three dimensions and reflect the sunlight to boilers that sit atop three 459 foot tall towers.” The Wall Street Journal puts the exact figure at 347,000 “garage door-size mirrors.”
Ivanpah cost $2.2 billion, but investors have few worries. The plant  was financed with a federal loan guarantee of $1.6 billion, and Californians are required under Renewable Portfolio Standards to purchase Ivanpah’s electricity for the next 30 years, at four times the cost of electricity generated with natural gas.
Birds seem to be attracted to the array, thinking that the shimmering mirrors are a body of water.
It turns out that when those 347,000 mirrors focus sunlight up to the 459-foot high towers, the surrounding air gets warmed up a bit — to a toasty 1,000 degrees F, hot enough to fry our feathered friends to a crisp.
Firenze Sage:  Oh and in sunny California you get to pay 4x the going rate for electricity.  This  is fine on the coast but most of  California  requires air conditioning for 4x the going rate.

In her latest interview with People Magazine, First Lady Michelle Obama was asked to name female role models she would like to emulate when she gets older.
Her choices? Actresses Cicely Tyson and Jane Fonda, infamously known as Hanoi Jane for supporting the enemy during the Vietnam War.
“I just went to see Cicely Tyson on Broadway. She is in her 80s [just turned 80 in December] and did a two-hour play with stamina and passion. I told her ‘I want to be you when I grow up!'” And then she added:
“There’s Jane Fonda, a beautiful, engaged, politically savvy, sharp woman.“
As a reminder, in 1972 Fonda was photographed laughing with North Vietnam enemy soldiers while sitting on an anti-aircraft gun that was being used to shoot at U.S.aircraft.

Whose side is Holder on? Â Racial profiling is bad, bad says Justice:
The Justice Department will significantly expand its definition of racial profiling. Why?
To prohibit federal agents from considering religion, national origin, gender and sexual orientation in their investigations, a government official said Wednesday.
The move addresses a decade of criticism from civil rights groups that say federal authorities have in particular singled out Muslims in counter terrorism investigations and Latinos for immigration investigations.
