An 85-year-old Long Island grandmother says she plans to sue the TSA after a humiliating strip search on Tuesday by agents at JFK Airport.
Lenore Zimmerman, who lives in Long Beach, says she was on her way to a 1 p.m. flight to Fort Lauderdale when security whisked her to a private room and took off her clothes.
“I walk with a walker — I really look like a terrorist,†she said sarcastically. “I’m tiny. I weigh 110 pounds, 107 without clothes, and I was strip-searched.â€
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said a review of closed circuit TV footage from the airport shows “proper procedures were followed.â€
But Zimmerman, whose hunched back puts her at 4-foot-11, said the ordeal began after her son, Bruce, drove her to the JetBlue terminal for the Florida flight.

“Brave New World is full of characters who do everything they can to avoid facing the truth about their own situations. The almost universal use of the drug soma, by the characters,  is probably the most pervasive example of such willful self-delusion.”
Occupy Santa Cruz displays either total ignorance or a sublime irony.
According to  Al Arabiyya News, Saudi Arabia’s Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice confirms  that it will begin “interfering with†and “ordering†women to cover their eyes, “if they provoke fitna [sedition, chaos].â€
The spokesman added, “Our men have every right to do so.”

Sam Farr is one of seventy plus socialists elected to the United States Congress. Â Below is a letter to Sam from a citizen in his district:
Sam, tear up your socialist card.  Our nation is at a crossroads. The 2012 elections will be about ideology.  Will American slide further into socialism?    Or will America return to  the conservative values of our Founding Fathers and Mothers?
Socialists  typically  believes that government is the solution, that everything good comes from government and that all belongs to government who dispenses it wisely. Socialists believe that government creates jobs and wealth.
Conservatives believes in limited government, that federalism rightly limits the powers of each branch of government, Â and that under God individuals have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness — with the least interference as possible from government.
Sam, please support and vote for fiscal responsibility.
Just as families must live within their means, so too  must nations. Look at Greece.
If a family overspends by $5,000 it cannot start next year’s budget with an increase of 5 K. The same goes  for nations. Therefore Sam ,  please vote to stop all automatic government increases.
All families must live on a budget. So must America. Yet months and months go by and the Democrats refuse to make a budget.
Sam, Please  change your ways and support and vote for a balanced budget.
When a family’s income drops their expenses too must drop.  The same for nations. Growth is flat. We must cut government spending.   How?
Sam, please support and vote for substantial cuts and no increases in taxes. How?  Read what Paul Ryan wrote as to how to make substantial fiscal changes. They make sense.
Why wait for the Supreme Court to weigh in on Obama-Care. De-fund it now. If the government has the power to require every citizen to purchase X, then there is no limit to  what the government can require. That is precisely the path of socialism that lies ahead.
So, again I ask  Sam Farr:  Will you tear up your socialist card?  And, join a tea party or start one?  America is at a crossroads, right? Â

President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry†(7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information†is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States†(7 CFR 1214.10). —————————————————————————- This is the most perfect example extant of what governments do to waste our time and money. ” Gee ma I saw an ad about something called a Christmas tree. Can we get one…can we…can we…”
The Department of Health and Human Services has signed a no-bid contract  with Siga Technologies for as much as much as 2.8 billion  dollars’ worth of a high priced drug, for a terrorism threat that may not exist.Â
The drug’s effectiveness is unknown because it cannot be tested on humans. The threat it is intended to counter is an attack based on Smallpox (which has been eradicated and “is known to exist only in the locked freezers of a Russian scientific institute and the U.S. government.”)
A large stockpile of effective and inexpensive smallpox vaccine already exists. The new drug is intended to be used after exposure to smallpox in the event of a bioterrorism attack. Even if the threat were real, and the drug actually effective, the expensive (estimated $255 per dose, a price that bears no relationship at all to production cost) stockpile only has a shelf life of 38 months.
By coincidence, Siga is controlled by Billionaire Democrat mega-donor Ronald Perelman. ————————————————————————————————————————————-
So to summarize:Â An untested, possibly fatal drug will be bought for billions of dollars from an Obama supporter to fight an unproven threat which will have to happen within 38 months so the drug’s effect, whatever it is, doesn’t expire.
How has Obama, who taught Constitutional Law, most harmed the U.S. Constitution and thereby weakened the rights of average American citizen?
Obama knows the Constitution — he taught it — and Obama has sought to weaken the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution.
Think about the Bill of Rights.
Obama’s policies have harmed the First Amendment (speech) the Second Amendment (right to bear guns) and probably the greatest harm done has been to the 10th Amendment — that powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the states by the Constitution are reserved, respectively, to the states or the people. Think about that: All powers not granted to the federal government belong to the People — you and me. What a huge right.
Attack on the Second Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms.
In the news today, Diane Feinstein, a Democratic Senator from California, and long time supporter of Obama’s policies, now supports much stricter gun control laws. [By the way, for years She carries a gun in her purse]
Why does Democrat Senator Feinstein now support stricter gun control? Because Senator Feinstein thinks that guns can get into the wrong hands too easily. That is true, especially if the U.S. government, under the auspices of Obama’s Justice Department, smooth the way to put guns into the hands of Mexican criminals.
Fast and Furious, under the purview of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, sold guns to Mexican criminals so they supposedly could trace the cartels to see where the guns went. That was the theory.
The Mexican drug cartel used the guns and the end result was a lot of people got killed. So now the Obama government, which sold the guns to the outlaws, wants to restrict the right of American citizens to keep and bear arms.
Obama, who thinks government is the answer to every problem, want control of guns to reside in the hands of government.
Restriction on freedom of speech:
In Obama’s State of the Union address — with the Supreme Court sitting front and center — President Obama castigated the Court for extending freedom of speech to include corporations and unions. Corporations no longer have to have PACs in place when they make a political contribution. Corporations and unions now have full political rights.
Obama first tries to get a law passesd, If that does not work then he uses regulations to get the same results. Overriding all is Obama’s faith that governmnet is the answer and that citizens need to be controlled.
In less than one year citizens have the right to choose: more of Obama’s version of Hope and Change or? What do you hope will change after the next election?
I hope that all the regulations put in place the last 3 years are put on HOLD. Let’s wind back the tape. What say you?
The Bishop is from Africa. He is an Episcoplaian Bishop. His formal title is, Rt. Rev. Sadock Makaya, Bishop of Western Tanganyika. He is here in California for a week.
When Bishop Makaya spoke it was dificult for persons sitting behind him to understand him. He used complex, compound sentences and his articulation of English was not easy to understand.
Bishop Makaya’s message was clear: Today we celebrate All Saints Day. We remember the Christian saints that came before us. And we pray that the saints of today will lead lives that inspire others when they too pass on.
Some want to divide. The [Episcopalian] church needs to stay unified, said the Bishop from Africa.
And after the Bishop finished, the congregation renewed their commitment as Christians by saying the Nicene Creed which ends with:
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
As I looked around at the congregation, I looked for unfamiliar faces. There were a few. However, there were no children, only one teenager and many people in the congregation appear to be in their 70’s and older. [The service was the 11 am service which tends to draw older members of the congregation.]
The church in Western Tanganyika adds new members weekly said the Bishop.
In two weeks the Episcopalian church in Aptos [St. John’s Episcopal Church] will say “god speed” to their organist of 24 years.
Music Director, Bill Visscher, moves on to All Saints Episcopal Church in San Francisco. If you like great organ music, after Nov. 27 you can hear Bill Visscher perform there. Go to the web site for All Saints at allsaintssf.org located at 1350 Waller Street, San Francisco 415 621-1862 All Saints, San Francisco
The congregation of St. John’s will miss Bill Visscher dearly.
And now we say god speed to Bishop Makaya for a safe trip back to Western Tanganyika. And we send our love to his wife Edith and their five children.
What question would you ask of Bishop Makaya from Western Tanganyika?
The Occupy Wall Street New York volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter†revolution yesterday — because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless†people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.
For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.
Organizers of Occupy Portland say they fear as much as $20,000 donated to the group through a PayPal account has disappeared.
They also say the group’s finance committee has hijacked the demonstration’s Internet domain name and filed for incorporation against the wishes of the group’s decision-making body.
And in Oakland…. Tuesday’s removal of the OWS camp saw mass arrests but was largely peaceful. A downtown march later in the day, however, turned into a protracted street confrontation between protesters and police officers from more than a dozen agencies who set off tear gas and used shotguns to fire projectiles designed to inflict pain but not cause serious injury.
Police said they had to protect themselves from protesters who hurled rocks, bottles and paint.
