Eat crow! Gov. Newsom’s “data driven decisions” are based on incomplete data due to bug in electronic system

Eat crow, Gov. Newsom!

Covid-19 related policies are “guided by data” so says  CA  Democrat Gov. Newsom.

But the “data”  provided by the state of CA to local authorities  is incomplete due to a bug in the electronic system.  See story in  the San Francisco Chronicle.

Aptos Psychologist:   How fitting.  A “bug” eats away at supposed accuracy of CA Democrat Gov. Newsom’s Covid-19 policies.   Newsom’s “data” requires  churches  to remain closed and the economy hobbled.   A story in the Los Angeles Times suggests optimism and that things are actually getting better.

A Los Angeles Times analysis on Monday found that California experienced its first weekly reduction in new confirmed coronavirus cases for the first time in 12 weeks. For the seven-day period that ended Sunday, California reported 59,697 new cases, a drop of 9% from the previous week of 65,634 cases, which was a record.

If the trends continue, it would mark a turning point after weeks of record hospitalizations that began in mid-June, the result of California starting to rapidly reopen the economy in May.

California experienced its highest number of average daily COVID-19 hospitalizations about two weeks ago; for the week of July 20, there were an average of 6,969 people in hospitals statewide. That number fell last week to 6,632. The improvement was the first time in 10 weeks that California has seen such a reduction in average daily hospitalizations.

State’s coronavirus response in crisis mode, as computer glitch makes data unreliable.

Some churches ae pushing back.  In San Diego, a Catholic high school that serves 700 students on a yearly basis has sued Gov. Newsom for closing the schools.

Congresswoman AOC know nothing strikes again! [St. Damien of Molekai’s statute]

A Catholic bishop calls out Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for advocating  the removal St. Damian,  a  statue of St. Damian of Molekai  located in the Capital building.

Bishop Robert Barron stated, “Just taking a couple of minutes out of my day here because I felt the need to respond to something I came across that was just so outrageous. It was a tweet or an Instagram or something from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Bishop Barron continues:  Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez  was complaining about the presence of a statue in Statuary Hall in the Capitol building that she thought was, you know, a sign of colonialism and white supremacy. And the statue that she picked out of all the possible ones was of Saint Damien of Molokai.”

The Catholic bishop thought it was crazy and outraged, he questioned, “And I wonder, did she have any idea who Damien of Molokai was, this Belgian man who becomes a priest, member of a missionary order.

Damien of Molekai  goes, mid 19th century, to Hawaii, works there for several years, and then volunteers to go to the island of Molokai, which the time was a place where lepers were sent. And at the time, they-. You know, there was no treatment. There was no cure. Those who had the disease were simply sent there to spend the rest of their lives and they would die there. Damien went, knowing full well that he would most likely never return from this ministry.”

Facebook tactics: Kamala Harris’ former press secretary decides which Trump tweets violate “community standards” policy

That ‘tweet, tweet’  by  Trump   [“kids are  almost immune” to Covid-19]    violates  “community standards” says   Kamala Harris’s former press secretary who suspended Trump’s account.

Aptos Psychologist:  This is more than ‘bias’.  This is  Democrat campaign tactics.    Why suspend  Trump’s account  based on  ‘information’  that has been widely reported in San Jose’s  Mercury News and elsewhere?   It’s largely been  accepted   that kids  are  less likely to get or transmit  Covid-19.  In some instances kids get a severe form of it.

Facebook’s ‘arbiter’ of  “community standards”  is an enforcer for limited free speech. Their version of free speech.

As for real ‘mis-information’, the public finds the media to blame for the political divide.  84% of the public  blame the media for bias.   That includes  bias by Kamala Harris’ former press secretary  aka arbiter of “community standards” for Twitter.

How stay safe? Buy a gun say women & Black-Americans

How stay safe?   More and more Americans lack confidence that the police will protect them.   Women are buying guns.  Forty percent of first time buyers this year are women.

Black-Americans are buying guns.   As a  demographic group, Black-Americans bought the most guns –  up 58.2% for the first six months of this year.

This July the FBI performed the third highest number of background checks on record.   In July alone, 1 .8 million guns were sold.  [Go WSJ, Voting With Their Guns]

Aptos Psychologist:

What’s going on?  Look what people see on television night after night.   Large cities burning.  These cities have been run by Democrats for years and years.   When liberal and progresses won’t control crime, more Americans buy guns in self-defense.  Imagine that — women arming themselves.  Not just with pepper spray anymore.

Do as Dutch do? Ditch masks in public? No study show that masks alone work.

No as Dutch do?  Ditch masks in public?  No study shows that masks alone help.  Masks may harm because they provide a false sense of security. And because they can harm because they are contaminated.

Dutch ditch masks in public. Everyone in Holland is  out and about. No masks.

There’s hidden danger to wearing masks said Dr. Birx in April as promote a false sense of security.

From the recent WSJ article:  There’s no solid support that face masks alone has a significant effect in the spread of flu or similar illness  per the six studies published in last decade using randomized trials.

The only trial with reusable cloth masks suggested they’re ineffective.   They could even increase the risk.   People may not wash their masks frequently enough or the masks become moist and contaminated.

Firenze Sage: know it alls get thrashed [woman threw hot coffee on men not wearing masks]

An unhinged lunatic woman  approached two men, sitting outside in Manhattan Beach, California. The woman then lectured the men for not wearing masks.

She didn’t like their responses so she threw hot coffee on them.  Obviously, she’s not  a very tolerant and loving person.  She didn’t expect the men to get up and beat her boyfriend bloody.

But it might have been avoided in Holland at least:

Holland’s top scientists have examined data and research about COVID-19 and declared there is no clear evidence that wearing face masks protects — anyone.

In fact, the scientists say wearing masks may actually hamper the fight against virus.   So — no maks in public and enjoy the sun!

“Face masks in public places are not necessary, based on all the current evidence,” said Coen Berends, spokesman for the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. “There is no benefit and there may even be negative impact.

Hooray for arson! [liquor store burnings in 1992 accomplished Karen Bass’s goals]

Rep. Karen Bass, a CA  Afro-American and top contender to be Joe Biden’s running mate, said in 1992 that the burning of hundreds of liquor stores during the L.A. riots was a “miracle” because it rid poor neighborhoods of hot spots for crime and drug activity.

Karen Bass was a community activist in the L.A. area  at the time focused on shutting down liquor stores, many of which were owned by Korean immigrants.

The Democrat gave several interviews after the riots on the liquor store issue. She told The New York Times at the time that while arson was not the ideal path to force liquor stores closed, the burnings accomplished what her activist group had tried for years to achieve.

Over 200 liquor store  businesses owned by Korean-Americans burned; one liquor store owned by blacks burned.  Only a dozen liquor stores  were re-built.

Citizen outcry against lock down, mask wearing, fines in Santa Cruz County

Citizens  assembled and spoke against the lock down, against wearing masks and  why they dislike possible   fines for not wearing masks.   The Board of Supervisors in Santa Cruz County CA listened.

‘No masks!   Don’t criminalize people! Put masks on the  criminals  Gov. Newsom let out  of prison &  return  those criminals  to prison’ !

‘That cheap anti-malaria drug  hydroxycloroquine  works fine!’   ‘Masks keep people   from breathing properly!’

Such were some of the comments by residents of Santa Cruz County to the Board of Supervisors.

Live-streamed  on the  Santa Cruz Board of Supervisor’s Facebook page,   some  8-10  persons spoke  strongly 8/4/2020  in opposition to requirements to wear face masks and fines for not wearing them.  Click HERE to access live stream for Santa Cruz County CA Board of Supervisors.

A few more quotes from people speaking to Santa Cruz County’s Board of Supervisors 8/4/2020:

An older man said:   There’s no peer review double blind studies done that support wearing masks.    Anthony Fauci  MD originally said not to wear masks.  The Surgical General wrote 3/31 that masks are detrimental to our health.

‘Various  MDs have lost jobs and had death threats related to use of the anti-malaria drug hydroxycloroquine  in conjunction with zinc and other medications.  Instead of the cheap anti-malaria drug,  MD  Fauci blesses a drug that costs $2K for a five day treatment.     Gov. Newsom  sends money to Santa Cruz County Health Officer to keep us in lockdown!  residents are waking up and voters will not vote for you.’

Another man:  ‘It’s Victory Day!  There’s 34 studies that the anti-malaria drug hydroxycloroquine    is effective and there’s no need for a vaccine.  The MD’s  who support the anti-malaria drug   were taken off Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.  That’s Big Pharmo influence.   The mainstream media has been taken over.’

A young  health professional:    ‘One in five colds are the  virus. You should  talk about taking enough vitamin D.  Persons with darker pigmentation have different vitamin D requirements.      You are beyond nuts!    I’m ashamed of your  attitude:    ‘Give me safety or give me death’ Do you want to live in a bubble?  My deaf aunt who reads lips may have to.  What you’re  doing,   I’m ashamed of all of you. ‘

So what’s  California’s Democrat Gov. Newsom  done about masks? Remember, CA is the 5th largest economy in the world.   And CA is run by Democrats who believe in  globalization.  Hence, it makes ‘Newsonian sense’ that Gov. Newsom bought masks from China from a company that makes electric cars.  What Newsom did not do is get permission from the legislature before he purchased heaps and heaps of face masks.

About masks in CA:   In mid-April,  CA Gov. Newsom bought one million KN95s facemasks  for $5.5 from a Chinese brand that was on the FDA authorized list but was removed the following month and never added back, according to state purchasing records.    The Wall Street Journal,  FDA’s Mask Standards Shift, Sowing Problems  says that California officials didn’t respond to inquiries about what the state has done about ‘the bad masks’.

_________

Aptos Psychologist:   Lots of people don’t trust what government officials put out as ‘must do’ requirements concerning management of Covid-19.

People are right that each individual/ family needs to figure out what makes sense.  Small children –who can’t read lips and need to see facial expressions — don’t do well  developing language and social abilities with parents wearing face masks all the time.

What say you?   Comments welcome!    DrCameronJackson@gmail.com

Compare Obama & Trump on money in pocket, unemployment & inequality of income — let’s hoof back to Obama or re-create what Trump did?

Who did a better job on the economy — Obama or Trump — comparing money in the pocket, unemployment and inequality of income?

Obama fans  — read and weep!  Your hero Obama  stayed stuck in the mud.  This is from the Wall Street Journal Opinion page, Monday, August 3, 2020.

Money:   So did Obama or Trump put the most money in the pocket of  American families?     Comparing Obama with Trump as to which President did the best job raising  the annual medium income  (AMHI), Trump did twice as well as Obama.    That’s comparing Obama’s 8 years with the first two years of Trump’s administration.   (see WSJ,   The Economy That Obama Handed Trump Aug. 3, 2000).

Unemployment:   Unemployment and under-employment under Obama?   Remember the vast number of working-age people who were unable to find jobs and had given up actively looking for work during the Obama yaars?   The labor-force declined during Obama’s years and in Sept. 2015 it was the lowest since 1977.  Millions during those 8 years  were not working.  Remember all the people who  were reduced from full to part-time employment due to ObamaCare insurance rules?  In comparison, prior to the pandemic Trump’s policies  have encouraged job growth and put increased the well-being of workers and that of their families. [Teresa & Rich Guerriello’s Letter]

Income inequality:      How come so much more inequality?   Obama or Trump related?    Under Obama, after a full four years in office the unemployment rate was higher than when Obama took office Jan. 20, 2009.  This high unemployment rate persisted because it was the weakest expansion rate since the 1940s.   During  the 8 years of Obama with low economic growth and high unemployment, income inequality increased.    [Lee Huffman]

Aptos Psychologist:  Lately the drum beats by progressives and mainstream   media are getting louder and louder  about ‘income inequality’  that exists between ‘whites’ and Afro-Americans.  Progressives connect the increasing  income inequality between whites and blacks to ‘structural racism’ and ‘white supremacy’ .    Those are made up constructs of which there’s considerable discussion lately.

Why not just face the economic facts that during  Obama’s economy there was considerable increase in income inequality. That was there before Trump took office.
