What to do for CA schools, jobs, churches – closed by Gov. Newsom

What can you do to help re-open  CA schools, jobs & churches closed by  California  Democrat Gov. Newsom?  Plenty. As a taxpayer and voter, speak your mind.

First of all, know that that  Democrat Party  actions show  Democrats   prefer continued  economic meltdown to economic growth.

Example:   Today 7/31 the Democrats blocked extension of renewal of federal enhanced unemployment benefits at $200 a week.

What you can do?   Write your representatives — almost all Democrats in CA — and ask them to explain why two-thirds of regular pay is not enough given prior Democrat proposals that set virus sick pay leave and family medial leave at two-thirds regular pay. Why?  The real answer is that Democrats are blocking economic revival.  The economy contracted about 1/3 in the second quarter of 2020 — the largest ever contraction.   It must be ‘we the people’ who open the economy that get people back to work. Time to speak up.

Second,   know that health advisor   Dr. Farci  is in the tank in support of  the Democrats ‘do nothing’  approach when he tells Congressman Jordan that the public should  ‘avoid all crowds’ but won’t comment whether  the government should control crowds of protesters.  So, crowds of protests are OK for Farci but not others.  See below:

So what can you and I do  to help get children back to school?   Parents can say ‘no more unionized instruction’  of their children’ in government schools paid for by   required taxation.  Encourage competition by forming more charter schools and  attending private schools.  It’s competition that brings costs down and improves quality.  We readily see how competition  drives down costs  at the grocery stores and it’s also true for  other costs.

What about re-opening the churches and faith organizations?  There’s a piece in the WSJ today how believing that life has meaning helps individuals thrive. There’s lots of research that supports that view.

The WSJ  article is titled,    Titled Free Markets and Meaning in Life by Clay Routledge and John Bitzan. It discusses research that found that  a sense of life’s meaningfulness is tightly tied to positive views of capitalism and entrepreneurship.

What might people do?      Does your church or where you work support the marxist  organization  Black Lives Matters.com  (BLM)?   Look at the BLM website and you will find it opposes the nuclear family and seeks to de-fund the police.   Why not suggest to your church or work place that they hold   a discussion of the above listed WSJ  article that supports capitalism and entrepreneurship compared with what’s  supported by the Black Lives Matters.com website?

You  can see from what’s going on in Portland, Oregon  and Seattle, Washington  that what starts out as  peaceful protests are   hijacked by Antifa and  Black Lives Matter folks.   Per the videos,  these  ‘protesters’ are destroying property and doing violence to people.

One Episcopal priest, Sara Fischer,  who has been attending the protests in Portland    has this to say:  [Egan Millard is an assistant editor and reporter for Episcopal News writes the following re Sara Fisher.]

“I’m there out of compassion and concern for all the protesters. And I think the first time I went down there I thought, well, nobody’s going to throw tear gas at a silver-haired white lady in a collar. And it turns out that there’s so many people there, the feds don’t really discriminate.”

The below quote is from  Egan Millard, an assistant editor and reporter for Episcopal News Service.  His email:  emillard@episcopalchurch.org.

“The Rev. Sara Fischer doesn’t know what to expect next, but she sees it as part of her duty as a priest to protect those who are in danger and support their message, regardless of the ways in which they protest. As much as she would prefer to see completely nonviolent protests, she understands why that’s not the case.”

“I think that the church’s role is to protect and defend protesters, to be present, to show up,”  Sara Fischer  said to Egan Millard.

Aptos Psychologist:   The protests in Portland and Seattle started because of the  murder of  George Floyd  by a white policeman.  That was the end of May, a couple months ago.  What’s going on now has morphed into violence against people and vandalism and destruction of homes and businesses.   Video footage night after night shows that  Antifa and Black Lives Matter are central players  to the disorders.

It’s Democrat mayors and Democrat governors   who permit  the chaos to continue. The public must let their representatives and the media [typically in the tank for the Democrats] know what you think of the continued  violence in Democrat run cities  against person and property.

Harmed  among  others  are the black  families  and  black small businesses living in Democrat run cities who are  caught in the cross fire  and  experience the violence.   Doing  prolonged violence and vandalism   is not the way to  remember the murder of  George Floyd.

What say you?

Public Safety better or worse 2019 in Santa Cruz & Watsonville CA ?

Is public safety better or worse in Santa Cruz County in 2019?  The Democrats control awnings and signs  — but what about violent crime, needles and other health issues?

Is public safety better or worse  2019  in Santa Cruz County?

What’s the fall out from years and years of  Democrat Party policies on  Santa Cruz and Watsonville, CA?

Some current 2019  impressions:

  • Kids kill  other  kids in Watsonville, CA.   Take a look at crime statistics.   Because Watsonville gang members routinely  target younger  kids,  parents keep children  inside their homes. Kids are not allowed to ‘hang  out’ in  their front yards in Watsonville, CA. So parents tell me.
  • North County Santa Cruz CA  frequently  ignores South County Watsonville CA   issues.  Watsonville and Santa Cruz  are two  different worlds   joined by Highway 1.
  • Over 600 kids require  sheltering  on any given day  throughout Santa Cruz County. So says an employee of the Salvation Army shelter in Watsonville.
  • Psychotic adults hang  out  and talk in loud voices to themselves   at the  McDonalds Restaurant    on  Ocean  Street in Santa Cruz.  The Watsonvile McDonalds are much more family centered and much cleaner.
  • Two ‘more than typical’ Progressives city officials  face probable  recall by  8000+ Santa Cruz City voters.  The recall effort states that these two public officials  ignored  numerous   public safety issues  (needles,  human feces and violence) posed by the Ross St encampment.  And other issues.  Click the recall effort link for more information.
  • Mothers & the general  public  routinely watch   for needles and drug related debris  on  l Santa Cruz County  beaches.
  • ‘Free’  Santa Cruz beaches are  far dirtier than the CA County managed beaches which  you pay to enter.
  • Idle adults hang out in droves   near  the Santa Cruz  COSCO, close to the Ribele Family Shelter Building located  at Highway 1 and River St.  It does not ‘feel safe’ to drive near by.
  • Oh, my …… Oh my ….
  • There’s more control by city  government   of  ‘the little things’ — such as can a business have a sign  or an awning?  — than the ‘big picture’ i.e,  how can we work with the community to   reduce    violent crime and improve public safety?
  • Opps!!!     Perhaps it’s time for a change from the Democrats and their   policies?

suicide of the unions?

Labor union supports illegal aliens arrested by  ICE in Mississippi.
They’ve lost their way.
They are SOOOOO Corrupt that they forgot who they represent.

AFL-CIO Union President Richard Trumka posted several tweets on Thursday in support of illegal aliens taking US jobs.

Rishard Trumka: We condemn these raids in the strongest possible terms and pledge our full support to @UFCW and the working people of Mississippi as they work to win justice for all those who were unfairly targeted.

Face it US workers, they’re just not into you.

Illegal alien labor has decimated the US meat packing industry.
The jobs that once provided for large families are now barely pay above minimum wage.

And the AFL-CIO supports this.

You must pay union fees to get & keep a govt job? Your money supports political views you disagree with. That’s question Supreme Court will answer

You must pay union fees to get & keep a govt job? Your money  spent to  support political views you  fundamentally disagree with? That’s wrong.  This violates your freedom of speech rights.

For example, the SEIU  supported Obama in 2008 & 2012   and supported Hillary Clinton in 2016.   The SEIU pours millions of dollars into the Democrat Party each election cycle.   Why should  union dues you must  pay to keep your job be spent  for  politics you disagree with?

The Supreme Court hears a case on this issue starting Monday, February 26.  This is from the Wall Street Journal:

“Across the U.S., more than 500,000 state and local workers have objected to funding union advocacy but are nonetheless required by law to pay “fair share” fees to labor unions they have refused to join. The Supreme Court upheld the practice in a 1977 case, Abood v. Detroit Board of Education, reasoning that otherwise workers could “free ride” on the union’s collective bargaining. Prohibiting unions from charging nonmembers directly for political speech, it believed, would protect their First Amendment rights.

“On Monday the justices will hear oral arguments in a challenge to that 1977 decision brought by Mr. Janus. They should heed Justice Felix Frankfurter’s observation, in an earlier case on mandatory union fees, that it is “rather naive” to assume “that economic and political concerns are separable.” As Mr. Janus argues, bargaining over wages, pensions and benefits in the public sector involves issues of intense public concern and thus core First Amendment-protected speech. A state law that forces public employees to fund that speech violates their rights, no less than compelling them to speak. ( Janus v. Afscme doesn’t consider these questions for unions in the private sector.)

“Other unions that held pro-Clinton rallies include the American Federation of Teachers, the National Education Association and the Service Employees International Union, which represents about one million public workers. The SEIU convention passed a resolution that the union will “elect Hillary Clinton” as president “by mobilizing millions of voters.” Unions and state governments maintain that nonmembers can be charged for these conventions because they are where the unions adopt bargaining strategies and representational policies.

2016 voter fraud: more votes than voters in Detroit because?

vote-twiceThe potential for Voter fraud has a long history. For example, there are four million dead persons on the voter rolls. Some dead people do vote?

Now we learn that  Detroit, run by the Democrat Party for decades, reports   37% of the precincts in Detroit reported more votes than voters.

It’s well known that Democrats including President Obama and Hilary Clinton are opposed to voter ID laws.  So what’s the story with other cities dominated by the Democrat Party?  Or states like California long run by Democrats?

Back to Detroit:  Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books.

Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday. (snip)

“There’s always going to be small problems to some degree, but we didn’t expect the degree of problem we saw in Detroit. This isn’t normal,” said Krista Haroutunian, chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers.

Per the Heritage Foundation voter fraud has been around and has a long history. It’s going to take some time to sort out allegations of fraud in the 2016 elections.

For sure, in 2016 the Democrat Party which controls Detroit, has more people voting than voters.
