Controlling “exactly what people think” is the job of the media, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski boldly declared Wednesday morning.

While discussing President Trump’s entreaties to the American people to remain skeptical of the press, Bzezinski worried that if the economy turns south, Americans may end up trusting him over the media.

“And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he  [Trump] could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think,” Brzezinski said. “And that, that is our job.”

SCARBOROUGH: “Exactly. That is exactly what I hear. What Yamiche said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to who were Trump voters and are still Trump supporters.

They [Trump supporters] go, ‘Yeah you guys are going crazy. He’s doing — what are you so surprised about? He is doing exactly what he said he is going to do.'”

BRZEZINSKI: “Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he [Trump]  can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job.”

prayers-of-the-people-bbbTrump’s name will not be mentioned in The Prayers of the People at All Saints episcopal church in Pasadena, CA.

Parishioners at All Saints episcopal   will no longer pray by name for the president  over fears that  the name “Donald Trump” might cause trauma for those  in the congregation who disagree with Trump’s views.

“If you come to All Saints this Sunday, you’ll notice that we have removed the proper names from our prayers for those in authority. Whereas before we prayed for ‘Barack, our president,’ we are now praying for “our president, our president-elect, and all others in authority.”

 

“This practice — not praying for President Trump —  will continue for at least the near future,”  Rector Kinman  wrote.

Rector Kinman went on to say the safety of the congregation could be jeopardized by the mere nation of the president-elect’s name.

Kinman stated  that  — should issues arise — that  they have a priest trained as a therapist who  specializes  in trauma.  The Rector then added that  he believes the church should be a “safe space.”

“We are in a unique situation in my lifetime where we have a president elect whose name is literally a trauma trigger to some people – particularly women and people who, because of his words and actions, he represents an active danger to health and safety,” he wrote.

“As I have said before, for some it could be as if we demanded a battered woman pray for her abuser by name. It’s not that the abuser doesn’t need prayer – certainly the opposite – but prayer should never be a trauma-causing act,” he wrote.

And it’s time to save $10 TRILLION dollars over the next ten years.   Now that’s a campaign promise worth keeping.

Since 1995 there have been attempts to eliminate the Department of Commerce.  

According to Hill.com Trump’s plan is to save 10 TRILLION over the next ten years.

Vought and Gray, who both worked for the Heritage Foundation, are laying the groundwork for  Trump’s so-called skinny budget — a 175- to 200-page document that will spell out the main priorities of the incoming Trump administration, along with summary tables. That document is expected to come out within 45 days of Trump taking office.

The administration’s full budget, including appropriations language, supplementary materials and long-term analysis, is expected to be released toward the end of Trump’s first 100 days in office, or by mid- to late April.

Trump’s plans are based on Heritage Foundation ‘think tank’ ideas how to cut the debt.

What about the cost of illegal immigrants?  When will that be addressed?

Perry, Trump’s pick for the Department of Energy,  no longer thinks that the department should be eliminated.  Of course, that would get rid of Perry’s new job!

What to do about the Energy Department?  How  about re-organize it and remove those  employees who are convinced that climate changes are largely man made?  Trump’s transition team has tried – unsuccessfully – to get a list of employees who have worked on climate change initiatives.

Fake news.  Trump  supposedly fires the guy in charge of the D.C. military presence effective while the  inauguration ceremony goes on. Yeah.

The Washington Post wrote on Friday that President-elect Donald J. Trump “fired” the commanding General of the D.C. National Guard who is heading up the military presence during the coming inaugural event — in the middle of the oath of office ceremony.

A second story on Saturday did not contain the claim.

The Post’s original report set off a wave of stories across the world, causing raised eyebrows over Trump’s “extremely unusual” decision to fire a general in the middle of the presidential oath of office ceremony, especially during these dangerous times.

The paper reported that Major General Errol R. Schwartz, who has commanded the D.C. National Guard since his appointment to the position by George W. Bush, was told to vacate his office the moment Trump says his “I dos” to the oath of office. The decision was presented to readers as unfathomable, if not dangerous, by a president who doesn’t know what he is doing.

In essence, while the incoming Trump White House did accept General Schwartz’ resignation, it did not “fire him” in “the midst of the presidential ceremony,” as the Washington Post reported on Friday.

Meanwhile, on the day after its initial publication, the Post made material edits to its story. And as of press time, the paper had not added any notice that it had made the alterations.

The current version of the story now on the paper’s website added two important paragraphs that change the flavor of its earlier story.

Among other changes, one of the paragraphs added makes it clear that it is customary for such generals to submit their resignation, and in this case Trump accepted it. The paragraph also tries to cover for the paper’s poor reporting by insisting that the Trump team “provided contradictory versions” of the general’s situation — another fact not in the original story.

Despite its changes, the Washington Post story did not contain the statement — aired by Fox News on Saturday — that the transition had asked the general to stay until inauguration day was over, but it was the general who decided to quit. According to the Fox News report, “It appears the general would rather argue his case in the press.”

Hundreds of illegal immigrants living in Oregon are expected to protest Trump.  Illegals are expected to protest  at the State Capitol against expected tighter immigration enforcement under President-Elect Donald Trump. This  supposedly will  occur  just days before Trump’s  Inaugural Address.

Over 500 Oregon residents and illegal immigrants are expected to attend the event, according to the Portland Tribune.

U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) and U.S. Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) will also be in attendance at the rally.

The open borders organization One Oregon asked residents to “denounce Trump’s agenda of hate and exclusion” by joining the protest.

“We must unite to stop Trump’s first 100 days of hate,” One Oregon officials wrote in a news release. “We call on Oregonians, community organizations, and our local elected leaders to join us.”

The group objects to Trump’s immigration plans, which includes building a border wall along the U.S.-Mexico southern border, reducing legal immigration levels, and deporting criminal illegal immigrants.

Trump already commits treason?

Liberals suggest that  President-elect Donald Trump is guilty of treason  — after President Obama announced new sanctions against Russia and  Trump praised Vladimir Putin’s response to the sanctions.

The new sanctions were initiated by Obmaa on Thursday in retaliation for Russia’s alleged interference in the presidential election.  Whereupon this which prompted accusations that Trump was involved in an  apparent subversion of American democracy.

Remember: When you trade our national security for personal gain, whether pecuniary or political, there’s a word for that: Treason

Trump keeps promises to Deplorables? Yes!

Strategy:  Trump listens to Obama and then picks who he wants.  A brilliant strategy.  Listen to who was in power and then do something else.

Very important:  When foreign dangers threaten, the generals will be awake.  Remember how Secretary of State Hilary Clinton responded to Bengazi?  Who knows who did what that night. In contrast,  Trump’s picks include  several command generals to fill key cabinet positions related to security.

Does Trump keep promises to Hilary’s ‘Deplorables’?

Were going to get regulations off the backs of people.  That was something Trump talked a lot about.  Trump’s key appointment for the top post at Enviornmental Protection Agency will bring law back to a lawless agency.

The jobs Trump has filled: Defense (Mattis), Treasury (Steve Mnuchin), Transportation (Elaine Chao), Health and Human Services (Tom Price), Commerce (Wilbur Ross), Education (Betsy DeVos), United Nations ambassador (Nikki Haley), Housing and Urban Development (Ben Carson), Central Intelligence Agency (Mike Pompeo) and attorney general (Jeff Sessions).
